Siberriau-PEKANBARU- Precise aerial maneuvers were once again demonstrated by pilots of Air Squadron 16 Air Wing 6 Lanud Roesmin Nurjadin in the Joint Exercise Elang Indopura XXIII/25. The training of Indonesian and Singaporean pilots successfully carried out the Air to Air Refueling (AAR) mission or refueling in the air in the Joint Training Area (JTA)-1 area.

This mission is one of the important elements in bilateral exercises between the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). The exercise aims to strengthen military cooperation and maintain regional stability by increasing the interoperability of the two air forces.

In its implementation, F-16 C/D fighter aircraft from Air Squadron 16 operated in a coordinated manner with A330 MRTT tanker aircraft belonging to the 112th Squadron RSAF. This AAR mission allows fighter aircraft to extend the duration of operations without having to return to base, making it a strategic element in long-range combat scenarios.

The Commander of Latma Elang Indopura from the Indonesian Air Force, Colonel Pnb Adhi Safarul Akbar, emphasized the importance of this mission for improving the combat capabilities of the pilots.
